AUPE seeks volunteers for standing committees
EDMONTON—AUPE is seeking volunteers from among the union's members to serve on standing committees.
AUPE has 13 permanent committees established by the union's constitution to advise the Provincial Executive on matters of concern to AUPE members.
Committee members are appointed by the president. AUPE arranges time off for union business and assists members with the costs of attending meetings.
AUPE members interested in applying for membership on a standing committee are asked to submit a short summary of their qualifications by Wednesday, Nov. 4, to AUPE President Guy Smith. This information should be e-mailed to Executive Secretary Cheryl Austin at c.austin@aupe.org.
